Warren, RI—Producers of the 2008 International Marina & Boatyard Conference (IMBC) scheduled for January 19–22, 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia, have added an online-registration function to their web site. Although participants can still fax their registration forms, the Association of Marina Industries (AMI) and the American Boat Builders and Repairers Association (ABBRA)—owners and operators of IMBC—are offering an online option as another way to register for the conference.
By registering before November 30th, AMI and ABBRA members receive $150 off the regular full-conference price. Non-members receive $50 off.
The IMBC is the only show catered specifically for marina owners, managers, and staff, as well as boat repairers and yards. Over the course of three days, nearly 600 conference attendees from around the world choose from a dozen seminars, roundtable discussions, and talks ranging in topics from dockiminium values to feedback from marina consumers, as well as a panel on the current and topical issue of boating access and the ins and outs of hurricane preparedness. The show floor, which remains open for the duration of the conference, exhibits up-and-coming products along with tried-and-true vendors. On the third day, attendees and exhibitors can choose to reestablish contacts made at the show or connect with new people on a field trip to marinas along Lake Lanier.
The Association of Marina Industries (AMI) is a non-profit membership organization providing management training, education, and information about research, legislation, and environmental issues affecting the marina industry.
The American Boat Builders and Repairers Association (ABBRA), founded in 1943, strengthens and encourages professionalism in the boat building and marine service industry by providing its members with timely information, training, education and business services.
