IMI’s seventh annual dry-stack conference offers networking and education
August 21, 2006 (Warren, RI) -- The International Marina Institute (IMI), a subsidiary of the Association of Marina Industries (AMI), has scheduled its seventh annual National Dry Stack Conference for October 22–25, 2006, in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Conveniently scheduled immediately before the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the three-day National Dry Stack Conference is a great professional-development opportunity for those interested in the latest in dry-stack technology as part of their daily business responsibilities. The first two days of the conference showcase such seminar topics as managing hurricane risks, reconfiguring an older marina, and understanding OSHA standards for marina forklift operators. The final day of the conference features a tour of three area marinas of various sizes.
The National Dry Stack Conference combines educational programs in an ideal venue for marina professionals who wish to network with leading managers, developers, and vendors. Attendees from around the world discover the latest in building and equipment-hauling techniques, risk management, and financial performance through the seminar program, discussions with peers at the AMI-sponsored luncheons and receptions, and visits with such exhibiting companies and associations as Marine Travelift, Taylor Machine Works, and Bellingham Marine. Participants leave the conference with an up-to-date understanding of business issues and implications, and technological advances within the marina industry.
The International Marina Institute (IMI) has been training and certifying marina personnel since 1986 and offers courses in Intermediate Marina Management and Advanced Marina Management, as well as providing qualified members with the coveted Certified Marina Manager designation.
The Association of Marina Industries (AMI) is a non-profit membership organization providing management training, education, and information about research, legislation, and environmental issues affecting the marina industry.
